In order to prevent the spread of H1N1 influenza, New Jersey hospitals have instituted new policies such as a restriction on visitors and canceling any large scale or public events. As a result, the Embrace Kids Thanksgiving Day Lunch and Holiday Party are both canceled for 2009. This is obviously disappointing for many people, starting with the children, but it is necessary to protect everyone’s health.

In lieu of these events, Embrace Kids will be providing patient families with gift cards to retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target and BestBuy. This will enable individual families to buy gifts, decorations and food for themselves.You can help our efforts by purchasing gift cards in increments of $25 or $50.
